The expansive Montavilla neighborhood sits south of I-84 and west of I-205. The neighborhood was platted in 1889, and the name is a contraction of the original area name, Mt. Tabor Villa Addition. After starting off as farmlands, today the Montavilla neighborhood features lots of 20th century bungalows and foursquare homes along with local shops and restaurants.
