Southeast Portland Real Estate – Homes for Sale in SE Portland
View Homes for Sale on the Inner SE Portland Map Search
Southeast Portland is one of the most vibrant areas of the city. Southeast connects to downtown Portland with the Hawthorne and Broadway bridges, and both morning and evening an abundance of bike riders from SE Portland zoom over the bridges to go to work downtown. The unique vibe of Southeast is due in part to the mix of residential and commercial zoning. Burnside, Belmont, Hawthorne, and Division Streets create a true sense of community with the highest concentration of outstanding restaurants in the Portland area.
Homes for sale in Southeast Portland range from small cottages and bungalows to very large craftsman and colonials. Southeast homes were generally built between 1910 and 1940 along with lots of modern and “green” urban infill construction. Some of the upscale neighborhoods include Laurelhurst, Eastmoreland, and Waverly.
The Southeast area of Portland even has a volcano (don’t worry, it’s dormant) with Mt. Tabor where lots of large homes have city views to the west and dramatic Mt. Hood views to the east. The Ladd’s Addition neighborhood is one of Portland’s oldest planned neighborhoods and features some of Portland’s most beautiful rose gardens along with a very unique street layout. To the south, Sellwood / Moreland and Eastmoreland are the most well known neighborhoods with two great parks, the Eastmoreland Golf Course, and the Town Center area of Sellwood with shops and restaurants.
